Despite the limited possibilities this year, the festival celebrated its 20th anniversary. In these 20 years it has spread far beyond the borders of Rome throughout Europe and year after year the most famous masterpieces of sacred music have been performed. Famous orchestras led by renowned conductors, choirs and world-famous soloists performed in the Patriarchal Basilicas of the Vatican and other famous cathedrals of Rome.
The festival confirmed its internationality and ecumenical spirit, hosting choral and orchestral ensembles, soloists and conductors from Italy, Europe and the Middle East. A dialogue between different religions, a message of peace and brotherhood through art and music.
The enthusiasm of the audience is unbroken. This is both a mission and an obligation for the festival in the coming years. This much we can already reveal - there will be a collaboration with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. We look to the future with hope.
